The Ultimate Story is an annual competition run by The Age, Melbourne’s leading newspaper. Entry is open to all Australian primary and secondary students.

The MS Readathon Ultimate Story competition involves a five chapter story being created before the readers' very eyes by a different Penguin author each week. At the conclusion of chapter five, students are invited to submit their final chapter to be in the running for great prizes.

Students should collect and read each of the chapters appearing in The Age on May 2, May 9, May 16, May 23 and May 30. Entries close June 25 , 2010.

The Age provides the MS Readathon with substantial advertising throughout Ultimate Story, reaching all regions of Victoria. Participants who read and fundraise for the MS Readathon, and participate in the Ultimate Story will be in the running to also receive an Endeavour Award to recognize their efforts.
