This is the second "Grace" book in the "Our Australian Girl" series. Grace is a child convict travelling to Australia in chains, in 1808. These books are quite easy to read, but still interesting because they tell us about the differences between modern life and life in the past.

It is a really good story following the first book. I recomend this book to anyone whi enjoys adventure and/or historical fiction.
A friend for Grace is about Grace's adventure on her way to a new country. When Grace first starts her adventure on the ship she meets a girl named Hannah who is around the same age as Grace. Hannah's mother Liza becomes a mum to Grace. I recommend this book to anyone who likes finding out history about convicts.
