Billie B Brown - The Soccer Star

I liked this book because Billie had all these ideas and she proved that girls can play soccer. It made me feel happy.

Billie is on top of the monkey bars at school and Jack jumps down off the top and starts playing Soccer a mean boy comes up to Billie when she comes down and says can I play. He says no you can't play cause you are a girl and girls can't play soccer and Billie says no they can play if they want to. Billie runs away and starts playing with some other girls on the monkey bars then she has an idea. 'I am going to disguise myself as a boy tomorrow at school'. She asks Jack if she can play with him, I am Billie, yes you can because you are a boy he says. She starts to trying and she already kicked five goals, 'this is fun,' she says. Her hat falls off and they discover she is a girl and the mean boys says, "girls can play soccer you were right!" Show more Show less

It was a really good book because it was good when Billie pretending to be a boy to show them girls can play soccer

I really enjoyed this book because it taught me that it doesn’t matter whether you are a boy or girl, you should always be included in any sports.

I enjoyed the story & how the boys were surprised.

Good read!
