Good story line and illustrations well done

We love this book! It reads well and you feel the waves of emotion as you go on the journey with Gerald; his desire to dance, plucking up his courage for the dance, the humiliation and isolation when he is picked on, the hope when he chats with the cricket and the elation of learning to dance. I love this book, poor Gerald found happiness in his music and dancing. Teaching kids to be nice to everyone and don't laugh.

The giraffe closed his eyes and listened to the music and danced - just like me! That was my favourite bit of the story.

I thought Gerald was talented even though he didnt know how to dance in the beginning he turned out to be a star
