This book is amazing!! One of the best World War Two novels I have ever read.
This story time jumps alot, which can make a book annoying to read and hard to understand but Michael Morpurgo executes it beautifully. There are just enough similarities between the two worlds that you can tell that they're connected but not so many as to ruin the aspect of mystery that time jumping brings to a story.
A beautiful story of remembrance that comes together for one of the most unexpected endings evere. Show more Show less

I was glued to this for three hours so I could finish it. In some parts it was so sad I started sobbing- I felt I was experiencing everything Merry (the main character) was! Show more Show less
