Mulan cut her hair to pretend to be a boy to help her father, so that he does not have to fight in the army.
This book was intense and more exciting with the turn of every page. I couldnt put it down.
This book was an amazing book to read. I like it because she fights for her country to save her father. I would offer anyone to read this book as it is the BEST!!
After reading Disney’s Mulan by Rudnick, I was overwhelmed by the power in the words and how I truly felt them on every page in the book. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t say anything else about Xianniang and what they did with her after she died or that they didn’t have an ending where hopefully Honghui would show up in, but that’s a little bit it for the reader to figure out, does Honghui visit Mulan? Do they meet again? What happens to the Phoenix? What happens to the person Honghui is matched to? What would his parents think? Do they bury Xianniang? What happens to the monks/thieves/bandits? What happens to the matchmaker in Mulan’s town? Is Böri Khan dead, or did he survive somehow? But overall, I enjoyed the book very well.
