Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

I liked that this book is set in modern times, not olden days. Percy seemed to know everything, like reading ancient greek, and sword fighting, without needing to learn or practice.

It was really funny and exciting. It takes you back to Ancient Greece and is also informative . You never know what’s going to happen next.

I would recommend this book to all ages 8+ because it has action and is a very good book.

This book is about a 12 year old boy named Perseus Jackson. He goes to a birding school names Yancey academy, me Bruner teaches there (aka Chiron). Percy is friends with a ‘disabled’ boy named Grover (a Sartyr) they go in a school field trip to a Ancient Greek museum Percy vaporises Mrs Dodds. It’s summer break, Percy gets expelled he goes on a bus with Grover, it breaks down, they see the three fates, Percy abandons Grover. Percy goes home to smelly Gabe, Have’s playing poker with his mates, Percy’s mum tells him that they’re going on a three day trip to a beach. Show more Show less

Amazingly written and very immersive

This is an amazing book with high tension and lots of action. I would highly recommend it for kids between the age of 10 and 14. It is really good!

This book's about a boy with ADHD and dyslexsia. He finds out that he is a greek demigod and that his ADHD is actually his battle reflexes and his dyslexsia is because his brain is wired for ancient greek. Its and interesting fascinating book and I really recommend it. Show more Show less
