The Highway Rat

Very good. But the bad part is that highway rat is stealing everybodys food and stuff, which is not good.
I liked the book because the highway rat always robbed people then the duck taught him a lesson and stole his horse. The duck gave all the food back in the sacks. It was funny because the rat worked in a bakery at the end of the story and he liked cakes but he didn't steal any because he had become a nice rat.

The Highway Rat is a naughty rat that goes around stealing travellers food. While he goes on getting fat, all the travellers are getting skinner and skinner. One day The Highway Rat comes across a small duck bearing no food. The Highway Rat threatens to eat him! But, Duck is brave and leads him to a cave with a very strong echo and a large amount of darkness. Rat believes there is food in there and ventures forwards. Meanwhile, Duck is riding away on his horse and the villagers enjoy the best meal they’ve had in a long time. Rat ends up working at a cake shop, sweeping the floor.

I enjoyed The Highway Rat because he was cheeky, smelly and naughty but in the end he got tricked by the duck.
It was a funny rhyming book.
