I really enjoyed this prequel to the Hunger Games. It was great getting insight into Coriolanus Snow and how his early life impacted the man that we grew to loathe, and yet also on some level pity, in the world of Katniss Everdeen. A really enjoyed this little insight into the world that is watching the Hunger Games.

A brilliant addition to the original trilogy. This prequel gives us not only insight into how Panem worked at the time of the original trilogy but also into how the society of Panem developed. Neither the incredibly well-paced action nor intense drama feel out of place; this book only feels like a return to Panem.
