This is a great sequel to Once, and is even more exciting. Felix is still narrating the inspiring story and actually becoming a lot less naive. This is probably due to losing some people that are important to him, and realising that some people he thought were alive probably aren’t. Some of the loses in this book affected Felix, but they also affected the reader. Gleitzman wrote this book so well that we sort of got attached to characters, and were a little angry when they had to leave. Apart from loving the characters too much, this was an amazing book that I would recommend to all.

This book is 2nd in its series and it’s about the world war 2 with the German Nazis and the Jewish. I think this book is very interesting because it gives me a lot more information about world war 2. It’s not like a information report, the main character is a boy called Felix and he is jewish. He lived through ww2 and this book is about his experiences through it. It’s sort of like he’s writing in a diary. I love this book and I am addicted to the series.

Haunting..... dangerous and desperate, full of courage and hope.
More dark than the first book
Then is the second book in the once series. it is very intriguing and you will feel frustrated with some of the choices they make and there are some sad bits
It’s really good and the way Felix tells the story it feels like you’re right there with Felix and Zelda
This book only continues all the twist and turns from Once. This book was like a rollercoaster. I always wanted to know what would happen next! It just had me on the edge of my seat! It was amazing!
